The Bike-A-Thon starts Oct. 14th at the Adams Visitor Center at 9am. We will provide some snacks, water, and assistance from our spotters if you need it. For those who don't ride you can walk or jog any distance you are comfortable with, and I hear there may be a inline skater or two. This is a great family outing time where you can have a real quality experience. So grab a Sponsor sheet at the information station or download one from the web, gather your sponsors and tune up those bikes. Participants with over $100.00 in sponsors will be eligible to receive a free turkey dinner ticket for that night's dinner. Come join the fun. Check out the Facebook Event HERE.
The Turkey Dinner will be held at First Baptist North Adams on Oct. 14th in conjunction with the Bike-a-thon for Camp Ashmere. This is a popular annual affair with a complete turkey dinner, with stuffing, mashed potato and gravy, vegetables, rolls, cranberry sauce, drinks, and a delicious dessert (can you smell the the hot apple crisp?) (I hear there will be a chicken offering for those desiring an alternative.) Last year we sold out with over 107 meals served, so get your tickets early. There are two sittings, the first at 5pm and the 2nd at 6pm. The cost for the dinner is $12.00 for adults, $7.00 for children and is FREE for those five and under. Tickets will be available from Camp Trustees and Staff, and at the Church Office. Check out the Facebook Event HERE.
